For over 200 years Barre ,Vermont has been known as the “Granite Center of the World.’

A Movement:
In 1909, William Foster Milne Became the First Boy Scoutmaster in America by Forming Troop 1 in Barre, Vermont

An Artist:
​Carlo Abate, one of Barre’s most celebrated artists died in 1941 before he could complete this Scouting Memorial
